Özel also touched upon the issues of uncertainty and grievance experienced by earthquake-affected citizens in Malatya.

Focusing on the uncertainties experienced in the house demolition and reconstruction process after the earthquake in Malatya and the grievances of the citizens, Özel emphasized that the state should fulfill its responsibilities towards the earthquake victims. He also drew attention to the cut in rental aid and the economic difficulties experienced by earthquake victims.

Apricot Producers’ Problems and Solution Suggestions

Özel discussed the difficulties faced by producers regarding apricot, which is Malatya’s important agricultural product. Stating that the increase in apricot prices is not reflected sufficiently on the producers, Özel stated that farmers should be supported and a base price should be implemented.
