A retired police officer died after being shot in Bağcılar district. Two people suspected of being involved in the incident were detained by the police.
Retired police officer Avşin Altunbaş lost his life as a result of an armed attack in Bağcılar at around 05:00 in the morning recently. Public Security Branch Directorate Homicide Bureau teams organized a successful operation to capture the suspects and the suspects named Ekrem E. and Fikret T. were taken into custody.
While the investigations revealed that the perpetrator of the incident was Ekrem E., it was determined that Fikret T. (23), who had 10 previous criminal records, was waiting for Ekrem E. in a commercial taxi. It was reported that the suspects were sent to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station were completed.
