Incidents of Tourists Drowning at Sea in Antalya

Unfortunately, two tourists who went swimming in Manavgat district, Antalya’s tourism paradise, drowned and lost their lives. Both incidents took place approximately 300 meters away from each other and an hour apart.

First Incident: German Tourist Helmut Slfrad Hopfner (74)

German national Helmut Slfrad Hopfner (74), who was on holiday in Evrenseki District, was in danger of drowning while swimming in the sea on the hotel’s beach. Hopfner, who was taken to the beach and unconsciously taken to a private hospital in Manavgat, could not be saved despite all the interventions. The dead body of the German tourist was sent to Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute after examinations at the scene.

Second Incident: Slovenian Citizen Maria Bundzelova (75)

İkinci Olay: Slovenya Vatandaşı Maria Bundzelova (75)

Slovenian citizen Maria Bundzelova (75), who was on holiday in Çolaklı District, was in danger of drowning after swimming on the hotel’s beach. Bundzelova, who was taken to the beach and hospitalized unconscious, could not be saved despite all the interventions. The lifeless body of the Slovenian tourist, who was found to have a heart disease and had undergone surgery twice in his country, was sent to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute after examinations at the scene.
