Detailed Restoration Work to Remove Cracks
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality started comprehensive maintenance and repair work to eliminate the cracks in the walls at the Hisar Gate of Ankara Castle. Within the scope of the project approved by the Ankara Cultural Heritage Preservation Regional Board of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism; Structural crack repair, gap closure, wall seams, completion, cleaning and strengthening works are carried out.
Details of Restoration Works
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality carries out comprehensive maintenance and repair work at Ankara Castle, one of the most important historical and touristic places of the capital. Within the scope of the restoration works carried out at the Hisar Gate, operations such as structural crack repair, wall seams, completion, strengthening, closing the gaps and paint cleaning are carried out.
Project Completion Plan and Support
The project is planned to be completed in 2024. Ankara Castle Outer Castle Walls Restoration Project was prepared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and approved by the Ankara Cultural Heritage Preservation Regional Board. Şevket Bülend Yahnici, Chairman of the Ankara Castle Studies Council, and other non-governmental organizations make a significant contribution to the preservation of the historical heritage of Ankara Castle by supporting the project.
