Hamas Member Izzat Al-Rishq Reacts

Hamas Üyesi İzzet Er-Rişk'ten Tepki

Member of Hamas Political Bureau Izzet Er-Rishk, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel KatzHe strongly condemned Katz’s call for a “fascist call to expand the circle of ethnic cleansing, massacre and destruction against the Palestinian people”, Rishk said, adding that these statements were a clear indication of the desire of “Zionist terrorist leaders” to be exempt from crimes against humanity.

Rishk stressed that Katz’s demand for “the evacuation of the area” and his call for treatment similar to that in Gaza showed his insistence on the violation of international law. Rishk’s statement included the following statements:

  • “The United Nations and the international community must work to ensure that the US administration removes the protection it provides to Zionist war criminals.”
  • “To ensure accountability for the crimes of genocide and terrorism committed against the unarmed Palestinian people, Katz must take the necessary steps to refer Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, supporters of this extremist government, and terrorist army commanders to the International Criminal Court.”

Katz'ın Açıklamaları ve Batı Şeria'daki Durum

Katz, in the northern West Bank FetusAnd My name is TulkerHe brought up the raids on refugee camps and claimed that “Iran is trying to establish a comprehensive terror structure here by smuggling weapons through Jordan.” He also argued that Israel “should act against the threat in the West Bank as it does in Gaza” and suggested that all steps should be taken, such as “mass forced displacement as was done in Gaza” of the Palestinians living there.

Katz solemnly emphasized the situation by saying, “This is a war for everything, we must win.” It was reported that the number of Palestinians killed in attacks by Israeli soldiers and Israelis who have usurped Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem since October 7, 2023, has reached 662. Cities and refugee camps in the northern West Bank have been subjected to intense violence and infrastructure destruction that has punished civilians since October 7.

International Law and Occupied Palestine

Refugee camps in areas such as Tulkarim, Jenineh and Tubas in the northern West Bank are known for the presence of Palestinian armed resistance groups. International law experts emphasize that the approximately 60 airstrikes carried out by the Israeli army in the occupied West Bank after October 7 “contravene the obligations of the occupying power.” Since October 7, Israel has accelerated the seizure of Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank in violation of international law.

The government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in which far-right figures play critical roles in the usurpation of Palestinian lands and rights, has announced that they have unilaterally “seized” more than 10,000 acres of Palestinian land in the West Bank. Far-right Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrichalso announced plans for new illegal settlements on land seizure from Palestinians in the West Bank.
