Tensions Escalate Between Hezbollah and Israel
Israeli Army Spokesman Daniel Hagari said in a statement, “Missile and rocket attacks have just been launched from Lebanon on Israeli territory. Following this development, alarm sirens have been activated in various parts of Israel.” Hagari emphasized that Hezbollah is preparing for a large-scale military operation and that the Israeli army has begun attacks on Hezbollah targets in response to this threat.
Hagari also called on the Lebanese living south of the Litani River in Lebanon to leave the areas they are in. He warned that “Israel is determined to eliminate all threats against itself.”
Meanwhile, according to Israeli Army Radio, Israeli army warplanes have so far neutralized a total of 40 targets in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah had previously announced that it had targeted two Israeli military sites and soldiers near the country’s southern border with two kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
In two separate written statements, Hezbollah noted that 10 more locations in northern Israel were targeted. These developments increase concerns that tensions in the region may escalate further.
