UNRWA’s Assessment of the Situation in Gaza
UNRWA Senior Communications Officer in Gaza Louise Waterside, In a statement on the X social media platform, he said, “There is no longer a safe place in Gaza; it is as if people are waiting for death.” This worrying situation indicates that the humanitarian crisis in the region is deepening.
Wateridge stressed that the areas that Israel calls “humanitarian zones” have now become the front lines of the war. He noted that Gazans are forced to live just a few blocks away from these areas. This shows how much the safety of civilians is under threat.
These statements once again highlight the seriousness of the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and the dire conditions in which Gazans live continue to draw the attention of the international community.
