Gazze'deki Saldırıdan Yaralı Olarak Kurtulan Sıla'nın Anıları

Sıla, 7, who was injured in the Israeli army’s airstrike on Hatice School in Deir el-Balah, Gaza, on July 27, told the Anadolu Agency (AA) reporter about the terrifying moments she experienced. Little Sıla said, “I am Sıla Husu, 7 years old, from Gaza. They forced us to migrate from Hatice School. At that time, we could not escape the shrapnel while I was with my mother and siblings.”

Sıla stated that she was taken to Aksa Martyrs Hospital by ambulance and said, “My head hurts and I felt my heart breaking.” Sıla, whose right eye was seriously damaged in the attack, said that she can see a little with her left eye. Sıla, who dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up, said, “After becoming a doctor abroad, I want to treat young children. My message to the children of the world is; I love them very much.”

Sila’s mother stated that she and her family of eight were forcibly displaced, and said, “We left Gaza City in the early hours of the October 7 incidents and came to Deir el-Balah. First, we took shelter with our relatives, then we went to school.” Emphasizing that they were displaced several times, the Palestinian mother said, “We went to Hatice School during the third migration, we knew the school was not safe. The first attack occurred while we were having breakfast on July 27, and everyone screamed in fear .”

The Palestinian mother, who described how they began to walk in fear when the Israeli army targeted the school for the second time, said, “While we were looking for a safe place, the attacks continued and shrapnel fell on us. Sıla fell to the ground and I was looking around for someone to pick her up. Some young people came and took her to the hospital.”

The mother, who stated that she screamed for help, said, “I never thought I would see a woman screaming for help on TV. However, when I was living that moment, I saw on TV and in videos on the internet that I was the one running for my daughter, but I didn’t know what happened to her.”

There is also a fracture “On the top of her head. She needs treatment that requires surgery and plastic surgery.”

Stating that doctors are doing their best for her daughter’s treatment, the mother said, “They placed platinum between her eyebrows, and her right eye also requires plastic surgery.” The Palestinian mother called for help for her daughter’s treatment, saying, “As a Palestinian mother, I am very tired and I constantly pray that a philanthropist who has been breastfed will undertake my daughter’s treatment.”

Drawing attention to the impact of ongoing Israeli attacks on children, the mother said, “The war in Gaza, which has been going on for more than 10 months, has exhausted the children. They are exhausted from trying to find clean water, they cannot “Find a safe place. Every missile and artillery shell launched instills fear in the children.”

The Palestinian mother concluded her words by saying, “The children have not seen their father for about a year. Yesterday, Sila cried and said, ‘I want my father.’ Her father could not leave Gaza City. His father said, ‘Take the children with me and go to a safe area with my brothers living in the Deir al-Balah region.’
