The incident took place in the Tahtakale Neighborhood of the central Osmangazi district. Allegedly, an argument broke out between KD (62), who was a street vendor at the local market, and KI over a “location issue.” This argument quickly escalated into a fight.
KI fired two shots at KD, with whom he was arguing. As a result of the gunfire, one of the bullets hit the toe of KD’s shoe. Interestingly, although KD normally wears size 42 shoes, it was determined that he was wearing size 44 shoes at the time of the incident and therefore was not injured.
Following the incident, the Security Branch Directorate Security Teams Bureau Chiefdom teams took action quickly. The suspect, KI, was caught in the neighborhood where the incident took place, with the unlicensed gun he was using, within approximately 3 minutes. KI was taken to the police station for questioning.
The investigation into the incident continues.
