Protest Against Attacks on Gaza
At a demonstration held in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was called by many civil society organizations in the country, prosecutors raised a strong voice for an end to Israel’s attacks on Gaza. The demonstrators stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire and for the uninterrupted entry of humanitarian aid supplies into Gaza.
The protesters chanted powerful slogans such as “Netanyahu the child killer”, “Netanyahu the terrorist”, “Israel the terrorist state”, “Freedom for Palestine” and “Boycott Israel”. They also carried banners and signs that read “US finances, Israeli bombs”, “Stop the genocide” and “No to the occupation of Gaza”, thus giving a strong message.
The prosecutors demanded that Israel’s attacks on Gaza be recognized as a war crime under international law. They also criticized the Swedish government’s support for Israel and voiced their opposition to the United States, which they accused of being complicit in Israel’s war crimes.
