Senior Appointments Are Coming to Pladis
Pladis has announced significant changes to its organizational structure in Turkey and Central Asia. In this context, Pladis TREECA (Turkey, Eastern Europe and Central Asia) Region President and Ülker CEO Mete Buyurgan will be appointed to a strategic international position in the pladis organization as of the second quarter of 2025, reporting directly to Global CEO Salmin Amin. Buyergan will continue in his current role until this date.
Özgür Kölükfakı will join pladis as of September 9, 2024, and will serve as the future President of Pladis Turkey – Central Asia and CEO of Ülker. Kölükfakı will assume these roles as of the second quarter of 2025, and will also serve as a member of the pladis Executive Committee and a member of the Ülker Board of Directors. Kölükfakı will report directly to Global CEO Salman Amin. During the transition period, which will continue until the second quarter of 2025, Kölükfakı will be supported by the current Ülker CEO Mete Buyurgan.
Who is Özgür Kölükfakı?
Özgür Kölükfakı graduated from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Middle East Technical University and completed his master’s degree in Business Administration. Kölükfakı joined Unilever as a Brand Manager in 1998, where he served as a senior manager in different geographies and categories for approximately 25 years.
- In the period 2012-2015 he served as Vice President of Ice Cream, Food and Beverage at Unilever Russia.
- He worked as the General Manager responsible for Iran and Central Asia between 2015-2019.
- In the 2019-2022 period, he served as Vice President of the Ice Cream, Beverage and Food Division, responsible for North Africa, the Middle East, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus Region.
Before starting his duties at pladis, Kölükfakı was serving as the General Manager of Hayat Kimya’s Turkey operations as of 2023.
