According to a written statement from the US Department of Defense (Pentagon), three people in Guantanamo have reached an agreement with the military prosecutor’s office. The Pentagon stated in its statement that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Walid Bin Attas and Mustafa Ahmet El Havsawi, who are accused of being the planners of the September 11 attacks, reached an agreement as a result of their meetings with the military prosecutor’s office, but noted That the details of the agreement will not be made public at this time.

The New York Times (NYT) newspaper, on the other hand, stated that the prosecutor’s office sent a statement to the families of the September 11 victims, stating that the individuals in question accepted life imprisonment instead of the death penalty in exchange for admitting the charges against them.
