Hamas Movement’s Izzat al-Rishq’s Statement
Hamas Movement Political Bureau Member Izzat al-Rishk denied US Vice President Kamala Harris’ concerns about the humanitarian situation in Gaza, saying, “The claim that the US cares about the suffering and concerns in Gaza is one of the American lies.” “If they wanted to stop the war, they would have stopped it. They would have withdrawn military, security, political and intelligence support from the Nazi (Israeli) army,” Rishk said.
The Hamas official criticized Harris’ election campaign, arguing that “Harris does not respect the rights of the Palestinian people and their right to resist.” Rishk emphasized that “the US must stop the genocidal war and put pressure on Netanyahu to stop the brutal attacks in Gaza.”
Statement by US Vice President Kamala Harris
US Vice President Kamala Harris has expressed concern about the humanitarian emergency in Gaza. Harris stated that after her meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he “proposed a prisoner exchange agreement to address the emergency in Gaza and end the war.”
“Let’s make this agreement and end the war with a ceasefire,” Harris said, emphasizing that the urgent humanitarian situation must be resolved and a peaceful solution must be found.
