Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmuş made a harsh statement regarding the speech made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the US Congress. Kurtulmuş described Netanyahu’s speech as “horrifying” and reminding of the humanitarian crisis and massacres taking place in Gaza.
Kurtulmuş said, “We followed with great astonishment the speech of Netanyahu, who ignored the human tragedy and genocide in Gaza and prevented peace in the region, at the US Congress. I would like to state that it is unacceptable that Netanyahu, who violates international “law and increases tension in the region, is given the right to speak on this platform.”
Stating that Netanyahu increased tension instead of contributing to peace in his speech, Kurtulmuş said, “Netanyahu, who is applauded and supported in the US Congress, will go down in history as the person responsible for the brutality in Gaza. Justice will prevail sooner or later.”
