According to ANSA news agency, Prime Minister Meloni expressed great concern about the humanitarian situation in Gaza during his meeting with Herzog. Meloni stressed that Italy will continue its efforts to reduce tensions in the region.

President Mattarella also stated during the meeting that human rights in Gaza must be respected and that conflicts should not escalate.
