Weekly Money and Banking Statistics from the Central Bank
On July 19, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) announced its weekly money and banking statistics. According to the statement, as of July 19, the CBRT’s gross foreign exchange reserves increased by $350 million compared to the previous week, reaching $94 billion 695 million. The previous week, gross foreign exchange reserves were at $94 billion 345 million.
In the same period, gold reserves decreased by $237 million, from $59 billion 451 million to $59 billion 214 million.
Thus, the total reserves of the CBRT increased by $114 million in the week of July 19 compared to the previous week, from $153 billion 796 million to $153 billion 910 million.
