Eid-al-Adha Visits
Republican People’s Party (CHP) delegations visited the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) as part of inter-political party celebrations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. During the visit, the guests led by CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Yavuzyılmaz were welcomed by AK Party Deputy Chairman Belgin Uygur and her accompanying delegation.
Gaza Crisis and Eid Wishes
Speaking after the Eid congratulations, Belgin Uygur drew attention to the human tragedy in Gaza and emphasized that the Eid was bittersweet. Uygur expressed his wish that the oppression in Gaza would end and lead to the liberation of people in oppressed regions.
Economic Situation and Minimum Wage Requests
CHP Deputy Chairman Deniz Yavuzyılmaz pointed out that economic problems overshadow the holiday joy of citizens and stated that Turkey should solve its economic problems. He also stated that citizens have high expectations regarding improvements in the minimum wage.
Palestine Issue and International Solidarity
On the other hand, AK Party Deputy Chairman Uygur emphasized that the international community should be united to solve the crisis in Palestine and stated that Turkey will continue its leadership role in this issue. He also stated that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel’s calls to world leaders have begun to receive positive responses.
In summary Gaza crisis, economic problems and international solidarity issues came to the fore during the Eid visit between political parties. While attention was drawn to the expectations of citizens, Turkey’s leadership role in the Palestine issue was emphasized.
