In an unfortunate incident that occurred while shopping for a wedding in the Göksun district, the groom Selçuk Avcu fell from a height of 4 meters and broke both of his legs. Avcu was taken to Göksun State Hospital and treated as a result of the accident he experienced while preparing for the wedding with his fiancée Fadime Avcu.
The Avcu couple, who did not want to postpone their wedding ceremony, decided to have their wedding in the hospital room. However, the groom called the Göksun Municipality to report the situation to the municipality and stated that they were in the hospital on Tuesday, when the wedding ceremony was held. Avcu, who said that they could not come to the municipality, asked the municipality officials to come to the hospital.
With the approval of Göksun Mayor Selim Cüce, the registrar went to the hospital and married the Avcu couple in the hospital room. After the wedding, Mayor Cüce handed the marriage certificate to the bride Fadime. During the ceremony, Mayor Cüce wished the young couple happiness and said, “Love and affection do not listen even in the hospital. May God make your love and affection permanent.” Groom Selçuk Avcu also thanked the mayor and said, “We married in the hospital room, we interpret this as a good thing.”
