Situation of Patients and Injured in Gaza is Alarming
According to a written statement from the government’s Media Office, the health of 60,000 pregnant women is at risk due to the lack of health services in Gaza, while 350,000 people with chronic diseases are facing medicine shortages.
More than 71,000 cases of hepatitis have been detected in Gaza, while 10,000 cancer patients are in need of treatment. The health sector is in a difficult situation as a result of Israeli attacks, with 12,000 injured and 3,000 patients awaiting treatment abroad.
In Israel’s attacks on Gaza, 39,090 Palestinians, including at least 16,172 children and 10,798 women, lost their lives and 90,147 people were injured.
Since the occupying Israeli army captured Rafah, Gaza’s border gate to Egypt, on May 7, the flow of wounded and sick people abroad has largely come to a halt.
