According to the news in the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the Israeli army has surrounded the Tulkerim Camp. Israeli soldiers raided the camp with more than 25 armored vehicles and entered the camp with heavy construction equipment. The infrastructure and workplaces of the camp were destroyed, and debris piled up in the streets.
The report stated that Israeli soldiers closed the entrances and exits to the Tulkerim Camp and opened fire on everything, and that Palestinians’ homes were also searched and questioned. As a result of this attack, the camp experienced power and water cuts. In addition, the Israeli army reconnaissance planes conducted intensive flights in the region.
A young Palestinian who was shot and injured during the raid on the camp was taken to hospital immediately. It was also reported that the Israeli army had shot and injured another young man in the chest during the raid.
Following Israel’s attack on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023, detentions, raids and attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem have increased.
