It has been officially registered that Israel, which has been committing a massacre in Gaza for the last 9 months and has been trying to deport the Palestinian people in the West Bank for the last 1.5 years with raids, violence, usurpation and murders, is an occupier In its advisory opinion regarding the events in Palestine, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) stated that Israel is an occupier in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, that the Palestinian people have the right to self-determination and that Israel must end the occupation as soon as possible.
APARTHEID REGIME SIMILARITY
The Court stated for the first time that Israel’s discriminatory treatment of Palestinians, especially in East Jerusalem, was a violation of the CERD article, which was established within the UN Human Rights Council (OCHR) to prohibit racist regimes similar to the Apartheid regime in the Republic of South Africa.
NOT A CASE BUT A RECOMMENDATION TO THE UNSC
The Republic of South Africa filed a lawsuit with the ICJ regarding the genocide committed by Israel in Gaza since 7 October 2023, and as a result of the hearings, the ICJ submitted a recommendation to the UNSC that Israel should declare a ceasefire.
GUTERRES TOOK ACTION
Following the court’s advisory opinion, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced that he would submit the ICJ recommendation to the UN General Assembly.
EVERY ADVICE WAS FULLY FULFILLED
According to the ICJ procedure, if the non-binding recommendation is not implemented, the court takes a second and final decision that is binding on the UNSC.
ICJ failed to stop the massacre
The Israeli army continues to commit massacres against the occupying Israel, which the International Court of Justice has called on to stop its attacks in Gaza. The occupation army killed 40 more Palestinians yesterday in its bombardments, which focused on the Nusayrat Camp and Deir al-Balah in central Gaza and the city center.
