The flames started in a forest area today and spread rapidly. The fire is being brought under control after Balıkesir Forestry Regional Directorate teams reported the incident. 4 planes, 2 helicopters, 4 water tenders and a first response vehicle were dispatched to the scene. Teams are continuing their efforts to extinguish the fire by intervening from both air and land.
