In the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index saw an all-time high of 11,252.11 points. As of 13:00, it is at 11,189.74, up 55.67 points and 0.50 percent compared to the previous close. The total transaction volume was 52.2 billion liras.
The banking index lost 0.40 percent, while the holding index gained 0.15 percent. Among the sector indexes, the one that gained the most was the forest paper printing sector with 2.25 percent, while the one that lost the most was the food and beverage sector with 1.31 percent.
Analysts say that a mixed trend is being observed in global equity markets as the selling pressure in technology stocks spreads worldwide. Today, the European Central Bank’s (ECB) monetary policy decisions will be followed. There is a heavy data agenda, especially the ECB’s interest rate decision. From a technical perspective, it is stated that 11,250 and 11,350 points are resistance in the BIST 100 index, while 11,000 and 10,900 are support levels.
