Striker Alexander Sörloth, who put in an impressive performance for Villarreal last season in LaLiga, has a new suitor. According to the Spanish press Relevo, Italian giant Roma have been interested in Sörloth for a long time and Premier League team West Ham United have also made a transfer offer to him.
While the 28-year-old Norwegian footballer has a release clause of 38 million Euros, West Ham United is said to have made an offer exceeding 30 million Euros, almost covering this fee.
While there has been no official response from Villarreal yet, it has been reported that Al-Qadsiah, one of the new teams in the Saudi Arabian Pro League, has also offered Sörloth a large contract, but an agreement has not been reached yet.
Sörloth, who played in 34 league matches last season, attracted attention by scoring 23 goals and making 6 assists. The player’s current market value is set at 25 million Euros.
