The 178-meter-long dry cargo ship, which was en route from Kocaeli to Romania, encountered an unexpected situation in the Bosphorus. The ship named ‘Oskano 35’ began to drift due to an engine failure off the coast of Umuryeri.

Taking action upon notification, Coastal Safety General Directorate teams are intervening in the ship and trying to prevent a possible accident risk. Rescue efforts are ongoing and the ship is being tried to be rescued safely with the rescue tugs of the Coastal Safety teams.
