According to the North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim Yo-jong stated that “propaganda leaflets criticizing Pyongyang” were found in the border area between the two countries and in some places in North Korea and that these leaflets were burned.
“They must be prepared to pay a very high price.”
Kim lashed out at South Korea for sending “anti-Pyongyang leaflets” north of the border, saying, South Korea must be prepared to pay a huge price for its dirty tricks.” he used the expression.
In South Korea, groups such as the Free North Korea Fighters (FFNK), which includes members who defected from the North, have long sent giant helium-filled balloons containing content critical of the Pyongyang government across the border into North Korea.
