Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev sent a letter to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the 8th anniversary of FETO’s treacherous coup attempt. In his letter, Aliyev stated that he commemorated with deep respect and reverence the precious memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives to prevent the coup attempt.
Emphasizing that the heinous coup attempt was an attack on the national interests, democratic foundations and rule of law of our brother Turkey, Aliyev noted that the wise and brave Turkish people once again wrote an epic of heroism by fighting and shielding for the state and democracy .
Aliyev said, “July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day will always live as a symbol of the solidarity, struggle and national unity of the Turkish people and will be remembered with greater pride as the centuries pass.”He used the expression.
Stating that Erdoğan played a major role in preventing the coup attempt and that the Turkish people united around him and defended their state, independence and freedom, Aliyev said, ” The Azerbaijani people and state have strongly condemned this betrayal from the first minutes and, as always, stood by the brotherly state and people of Turkey. “This was our debt of brotherhood and loyalty to Turkey, with whom we shared our joys and sorrows.”He gave his statements.
Aliyev stated that they will continue their joint efforts to raise Turkey-Azerbaijan relations to higher levels.
