Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in a statement to the Russian state channel Rossiya-1, assessed the US decision to deploy long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles in Germany starting in 2026. Emphasizing that they will follow the developments regarding the decision in question, Peskov said , “Germany, the US, France and the UK are directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine. “All of this is being done to suppress our country and ensure our strategic defeat on the battlefield.” Peskov stated that the developments bore signs of the Cold War and said, “We are moving forward with firm steps towards the Cold War. “All of this has happened before.”
