The authorities in England were on a manhunt for a suspect who allegedly killed three women in a small town east of London using a crossbow and potentially other weapons. The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night in Bushey, near Watford, leaving the community in shock.
The victims, identified as Carol Hunt (61), the wife of BBC commentator John Hunt, and two of their daughters (aged 25 and 28), succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The suspect, Kyle Clifford (26), is being sought by Hertfordshire Police, who have warned the public not to approach him as he may be armed with a crossbow.
Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson of Hertfordshire Police stated that the authorities are focused on public safety and locating Kyle Clifford. The police have reason to believe that the murders were targeted. It is suspected that a crossbow was used in the attack, although other weapons may have been involved as well.
Residents of the usually tranquil area expressed deep distress at the unprecedented violence. Local councilman Laurence Brass described the incident as traumatizing, emphasizing that such extreme events were unheard of in their community.
