Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Bin Farhan participated via video conference at the 14th Gulf Research Forum held in Cambridge, England. In his speech at the forum, he emphasized that the violence in Gaza caused human losses and that a permanent solution was urgent.
“The ongoing violence and bloodshed in Gaza are a reminder that the conflict has caused heavy human losses and that a durable solution is urgently needed,” Minister Bin Farhan said. He also stressed “the urgent need to establish a viable Palestinian state with recognized sovereignty.”
Saudi Foreign Minister Bin Farhan reiterated his country’s call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He also discussed developments in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon in a telephone conversation with his British counterpart David Lammy. The two ministers expressed the “importance of reducing tensions in the region”. The ministers also discussed “strengthening bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two countries”.
