In a post shared by the X account, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell announced that dozens of people lost their lives in the Israeli army’s attack on a school in Khan Younis where displaced Palestinians were taking shelter. Borrell expressed his reaction to the attack by saying, “How long will innocent civilians bear the brunt of this conflict?” and added, “We condemn all violations of international law. Those responsible must be held accountable.”
Borrell reiterated his call for an “immediate ceasefire” to protect civilians and provide humanitarian aid. The Israeli army’s attack on a school in Khan Younis left 29 people dead and at least 53 injured. Despite warnings from the international community, Israel continues to target civilian areas in the Gaza Strip.
