According to a statement from the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. The meeting discussed bilateral relations between Turkey and Hungary, Turkey’s EU accession process and regional/global issues.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey continues its peaceful efforts regarding the Ukraine-Russia war and Israel’s attacks on Gaza, and stated that the international community should support the establishment of peace.
Erdoğan also stated that he expected support from Hungary during its presidency in reviving Turkey’s EU accession process and advancing relations.
