The US Independence Day on July 4 was celebrated with various events in Ireland. The US Chamber of Commerce gala event, attended by Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris, took place at a hotel in Dublin.

“We are protesting the US’s complicity in Israel’s genocide of the people of Gaza. This whole thing is absolutely disastrous,” said Betty Purcell, Producer for Broadcasting Ireland (RTE).
Purcell drew attention to the tragic events taking place in Gaza and emphasized that such tragedies would not have occurred without the consistent diplomatic support of the United States.
Protests continued not only in Dublin but also in other cities across Ireland. Cork, Belfast and Clare also held protests on July 4, US Independence Day.
