Ankara Metropolitan Municipality hosted an important event as part of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The panel titled ‘What is Addiction and What is Not?’ was moderated by Prof. Dr. Zehra Arikan. The experiences of individuals receiving treatment for addiction were shared in the panel, and detailed information was provided about the Özgür Köy Treatment and Rehabilitation Center.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, in his speech at the panel, emphasized the importance they attach to the fight against addiction and stated that it is a great necessity for the society to provide cooperation and support in this regard. Yavaş emphasized the importance they attach to prevention and awareness activities in the fight against addiction and stated that they organize healthy life programs and informative events for young people.
