Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality carries out inspections in food production and sales places to ensure citizens’ access to healthy food and to raise hygiene standards. Food inspection teams affiliated with the Department of Health Affairs continue their meticulous inspections in restaurants, cafes and buffets at various points of the city.
Within the scope of inspections, issues such as hygiene conditions, shelf life and keeping the products in healthy conditions are emphasized. In addition, inspections are carried out in cafes and restaurants in line with complaints from citizens. While products that have expired their shelf life are detected and destroyed, a report is kept about businesses with unsuitable conditions.
Food inspection teams state that they will continue their regular inspections and take the necessary warnings and precautions for the health and safety of citizens.
