Condolence Program Held
A condolence program was held for the 15 people who lost their lives in the stubble fire that broke out in the Çınar district of Diyarbakır and the Mazıdağ district of Mardin. Mardin Governor Tuncay Akkoyun, AK Party Mardin Deputy Faruk Kılıç, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General İdris Tataroğlu, Provincial Police Chief Cebrail Buğday and the authorities accompanying them visited the families of the citizens who were victims of the fire in the Yücebağ Neighborhood of the Mazıdağı district and offered their condolences.
Provocation of DEM Party Deputy
DEM Party Mardin Deputy Saliha Aydeniz, who attempted a provocation regarding the fire in Mardin, was prevented by the common sense attitude of Governor Akkoyun and AK Party Deputy Kılıç. Residents and condolences of Yücebağ Neighborhood did not allow the provocation of the DEM Party MP. The villagers reacted to the DEM Party members by saying “Get out of here.”
Areas Affected by Fires
The stubble fire, which started in Köksalan Neighborhood in Diyarbakır’s Çınar district, spread to surrounding neighborhoods due to the effect of the wind. Mardin’s Mazıdağı district was affected by the fire in Yücebağ, Şenyuva and Yetkinler neighborhoods. While 15 people lost their lives in the fire, 78 people were affected. The fire was brought under control with the intense efforts of the teams and citizens.
