Marmara Ereğlisi, the touristic district of Tekirdağ, received an intense influx of visitors during the Eid al-Adha holiday. Approximately 450-500 thousand holidaymakers came to the district during the 9-day holiday.
Cleaning and Safety Precautions
Marmaraereğlisi Municipality Mayor Onur Bozkurter stated that they collected 450 tons of garbage during the holiday. He also emphasized that thanks to the cooperation of the municipality, gendarmerie and police, there were no traffic accidents or deaths in the region. He stated that all necessary precautions were taken for the peace and safety of holidaymakers.
Requests and Warnings from Holidaymakers
Bozkurter called out to holidaymakers and asked them to pay attention to sea and beach cleanliness, obey traffic rules and not drink and drive. He also warned about the use of belts.
