The stubble fire that broke out in Tepecik village of Şırnak’s İdil district and spread to 7 villages was brought under control again. The fire, which started for an unknown reason in Tepecik village yesterday morning, was taken under control with the intervention of villagers and fire brigades. However, with the influence of the wind, the fire started again in the evening and quickly spread to 7 surrounding villages.
When İdil Municipality fire brigades were insufficient, Cizre and Silopi Municipality fire brigades supported the fire, which lasted until late at night and spread rapidly due to the wind. Extinguishing efforts, which lasted until the first light of the morning, were completed and the fire was taken under control. It was learned that cooling efforts have been initiated in the region.
