Antalya, which started the nine-day Eid al-Adha holiday with a flight record, hosted more than 2 million domestic tourists. TÜRSAB President’s Chief Advisor Hamit Kuk stated that on the day of Eve, a record was also broken in the number of tourists coming to the city by road, and said, “We will meet our expectation of 17 million passengers.”
Records were broken with an 8-10 percent increase
Antalya, the capital of tourism with its sea, climate and natural features, experienced an increase of 8-10 percent compared to the number of tourists last year during the Eid al-Adha holiday, which extended to 9 days with the announcement of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. After Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced on his social media accounts that the city broke the record of 2024 with 1,163 planes landing at Antalya Airport on Saturday, June 15, TÜRSAB Chief Advisor to the President, Hamit Kuk, stated that 1,150 planes landed at the airport in one day during Eid al-Adha.
