The Weightlifting Junior Individual and U15 Turkey Championships started in the Gerede district of Bolu, which was held in a district for the first time in Turkey and had the highest participation so far with approximately 600 people. This important organization, which is included in the 2024 activity program of the Turkish Weightlifting Federation, was held under the coordination of Bolu Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate.
A total of 600 athletes, coaches, administrators and referees from 42 provinces participated in the championship. Gerede District Governor Fatih Kaya, Gerede Mayor Mustafa Allar, Turkish Weightlifting Federation President Talat Ünlü, THF General Secretary İsa Ayan, Deputy Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Muzaffer Akdoğan, Bolu Youth Center Manager İlhan Şimşek and Gerede Youth and Sports District Manager Haydar Çetinkaya and the district. Many names from the protocol distributed gifts to the participants and presented their medals to the athletes.
