Üsküdar Municipality, which switched from the AK Party to the CHP after the March 31 local elections, is on the agenda regarding real estate and property sales. The real estate sales announcement made by the municipality after the CHP took over the municipality caused a great stir. Former Mayor Criticizes
Former Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen criticized the real estate sales and described this situation as “plunder.” Türkmen stated that the CHP administration was now implementing the sales demands that they had rejected before the election, and argued that the municipality’s assets were being plundered. Türkmen emphasized that during his term, real estate sales were made when needed and in a planned manner, and that the new administration was making large-scale sales all at once.

Türkmen stated that it was contradictory for the CHP to approve large-scale sales while previously opposing small-scale real estate sales. Arguing that the income from the sales would be spent on routine payments, not on municipality services, Türkmen claimed that the opposition was ignoring this situation.
