US President Biden announced in his State of the Union address in March that a temporary port would be sent to the region to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. However, the temporary port was disabled twice due to adverse weather conditions and the aid supplies carried through it could not be delivered to the people of Gaza, causing the project to fail.

Following Biden’s statements, it remains unclear what steps the US military will take regarding the temporary floating port project. Although the Pentagon announced that it will re-establish the temporary port in Gaza, which was pulled off the coast of Ashdod in Israel due to adverse weather conditions, detailed planning has not yet been made.
