The US Embassy has issued an important warning to its citizens in Lebanon. The warning emphasized that some airlines have “canceled flights to the region” but commercial flights are still continuing. In this context, “We encourage those wishing to leave Lebanon to purchase any ticket that is available to them, even if they cannot find a flight immediately or their preferred route is not available.”It was said.
And also, While it was stated that US citizens can contact the Embassy to receive financial support, it was suggested that those who do not plan to leave the country should prepare an “emergency plan”.
The US State Department had warned its citizens on August 1st “not to travel to Lebanon” due to the rising tensions between Israel and Hezbollah. Additionally, airlines from countries such as the Netherlands, India, England, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, France and Poland announced that they were canceling some flights to Israel and Lebanon for security reasons in light of recent developments in the Middle East.
