The US launched the floating dock operation to ensure that humanitarian aid is delivered to Gaza by land due to Israeli obstructions. Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, Deputy Commander of US Naval Forces Central Command, stated that the floating dock was successful in delivering aid to Gaza quickly and effectively. He announced that the floating dock operation was completed and that humanitarian aid would continue to Gaza via the Israeli Port of Ashdod.

Statement from UNRWA Official

Inas Hamdan, Deputy Director of the Gaza Media Office of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), stated that due to Israeli obstructions, not enough aid trucks are entering Gaza and this situation is causing serious problems in areas such as health services. According to UNRWA, it was emphasized that the number of aid trucks entering Gaza is not sufficient.

Criticism from Gaza Government

Ismail al-Sawabite, the director general of the Gaza Government Media Office, described the US floating dock operation as a “hoax” and said that the aid did not meet Gaza’s needs and that the economic conditions in the region were negatively affected. Sevabite stated that the US aid operation was unsuccessful and that real needs were not met.
