The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that the intense attacks on Khan Younis in recent days have caused a new wave of internal migration. It was determined that approximately 182,000 people migrated from the central and eastern parts of Khan Younis between July 22-25.

Andrea de Domenico, OCHA’s Humanitarian Coordinator in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, stated on July 3 that “9 out of 10 people in Gaza have been displaced at least once.” The Israeli army announced that it would “conduct operations” in areas east of Khan Younis that it had previously declared as “safe zones,” and called on residents to evacuate. Following the evacuation call, Palestinians began to flee the area.
