UN Mission Assessed Health System Situation in West Bank
The United Nations (UN) Mission made a statement after a visit to closely examine the health system in the West Bank. The UN Mission visited the camp in the city of Jenin, where 24,000 refugees live, and the office headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), and received detailed information about how UN teams carry out health services.
During the visit, the UN Mission witnessed the difficulties in the health system and stated that health institutions in the West Bank have been subjected to more than 480 attacks since October 2023. It was stated that the occupying Israeli army has increased its attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, as well as increasing its raids on Jerusalem and cities in the West Bank in an alarming manner.
