Umut Murare’s New Album: “Silent Screams; Palestine’s Instrumental Story”

Umut Mürare'nin Yeni Albümü:

In his latest album, Umut Murare delves into the stories of Palestine filled with pain and resistance, taking his listeners on an unforgettable musical journey by offering 15 instrumental pieces. By reflecting the human tragedy experienced in Palestine in his works, he strives to make listeners think more about this issue and empathize with it. Murare made important statements to the AA correspondent about his album.

Stating that he started his music career as an amateur with a group called Kardelen, Mürare said, “I went to a private music school and studied piano for 3 years. During this time, I also started to work as an arranger and music director. We released five albums with the Kardelen Group. I have four solo albums to my name. “My musical adventure, which started in the 1990s, has continued until today and I have been involved with art for about 30 years.”He spoke as follows.

Mürare stated that he worked with many artists such as Murat Göğebakan, Dursun Ali Erzincanlı, Eşref Ziya and İbrahim Sadri and contributed to these artists with his compositions. The artist emphasized that humanity has been witnessing a genocide that has been going on for years and drew attention to the systematic oppression of the occupying Israel against the Palestinians. Murare, “Everyone is rebelling against this oppression in their own field and with their own talents. “I wanted to support our brothers in Palestine from Turkey with my music.”said.

Stating that each of the 15 instrumental pieces in the album has a story, Mürare said that one of his most well-known pieces is the one that his grandfather kissed on the eyes and called the spirit of my soul. “Rim Baby”He also stated that the funeral ceremony for Muhammed Durra, one of the symbolic names of the Second Intifada, “Durra” He stated that in addition to an instrumental piece called “Hanzala”, he also has a piece for Hanzala, one of the symbols of the Palestinian resistance. Murare said, “The titles and names of each piece will remind us of the drama that took place there. Maybe we can open a door of empathy for the audience through music.”He spoke as follows.

Explaining that the album took shape over time, Mürare said: “I throw my works into a composition bag, which I call a saddlebag. They accumulate and eventually a work that blends our emotions emerge. This is how this album was created. With the intensification of our emotions, the notes and melodies that accumulated in our saddlebags eventually found a body and became an album.”said.
