New Villages Established in Batman
With the village status of Keciler and Alagöz hamlets in Batman, the number of villages in the province has increased to 293. This development is considered an important step in terms of the official recognition of settlements in the region.
In the official statement made by the Batman Governorship, “As a result of the fact that the Keciler hamlet of Örenağıl village of Sason district of our province and the Alagöz hamlet of Sason Sarıyayla village meet the village criteria of the Ministry of Interior, the establishment of independent villages under the names of Keciler and Alagöz in Sason district has been approved and registered by the Ministry of Interior.”It was stated that with this approval, the number of villages in Batman increased from 291 to 293.
The newly established villages will allow for more effective provision of various services for the local population and contribute to the socio-economic development of the region.
