The Turkish Red Crescent told AA that they have been continuing to provide aid to Gaza since October 7 with the support of philanthropists. The official, who stated that they sent aid whenever they had the opportunity, said that they delivered more than $7 million worth of aid to Gaza, including hygiene supplies, food, flour, fuel, clothing and aid packages.
The official, who said that they will start an aid campaign to Gaza once the gates are fully opened, said, “Our people gave us 36,700 shares for Palestine and Gaza during the Eid al-Adha holiday. Since there was no immediate delivery, we rented cold storage in Egypt so that the meat would not go to waste. We divided the meat, packaged it and placed it in the storage. God willing, we will deliver this meat to those in need in Gaza. We will deliver sacrificial meat to 1 million 200 thousand Palestinians and 800 thousand victims in Gaza in particular.”
The official, who stated that they will continue to distribute daily food to around 3,500 people in Gaza, also announced that they will send 30 trucks of aid to Gaza together with the Turkish Red Crescent next Friday.
