In the tragic incident that took place in the Menteşe district, a Syrian mother and her two children lost their lives. The incident took place in the Kazan Pond in the Bayır Neighborhood.
35-year-old Syrian mother Velide Zaza and her two sons, Muhammed (7) and Abdulgani (8), entered the pond to cool off. Unfortunately, the mother and her children disappeared in the water.
When the people around noticed the situation, the authorities were immediately notified. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department Underwater Search and Rescue teams removed the bodies of the mother and her children from the pond.
The bodies of Velide Zaza and her sons Muhammed and Abdulgani, who lost their lives following the incident, were sent to the Muğla Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the exact cause of death.
